Where Sam works
26 Towns, and One Person Who Drives to All of Them
I work out of West Linn, OR, on my own, which is the useful thing to know before you read the list below. There is no dispatch desk and no franchise territory. When you call, you get the person who will be standing in your yard, and how fast that happens depends mostly on where the day has already taken me.

Set up at a second-story eave. One person covers all 26 towns.
The short version
The whole Portland metro, from one truck based in West Linn
Sam Riley covers 26 cities across Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties, from Forest Grove in the west to Troutdale in the east and Canby in the south. Wasp, hornet and yellowjacket nests, honeybee colonies in walls, and bumblebee relocation are the core of it, with ant and spider work alongside. The price is for the job, not the drive. The annual quarterly plan is the one thing that is geographically limited.
- Same distance, same price. Travel is not billed separately
- Same-day call-outs are common outside peak season
- Houses, rentals and commercial sites alike
- Annual plan: West Linn, Lake Oswego, Oregon City only
What "same day" has actually looked like
Every pest company in the metro says same-day. Rather than say it again, here are three jobs in the customers' own words, quoted from their Google reviews with the times they wrote down themselves. All 14 reviews are readable in full on the Google profile, which is where the rating actually lives and where it can be checked.
3:30pm → 7:00pm
Paper wasps over the iron gates at a work site, dealt with after hours the same afternoon.
“I texted Sam at 3:30pm. He replied within the hour. We made a plan for meeting to survey and treat the situation. He was on site by 6:15 and done working by 7:00pm.”
16 minutes
A morning message about bees at a building, answered before 9am and on site by lunchtime.
“I messaged Sam this morning at 8:30am. He responded by 8:46am and was at my building by 1pm.”
6 hours
A honeybee colony inside a structure, after a different bee company had already tried and failed.
“He used a heat-sensing camera to locate the hive, which allowed him to minimize damage to our home. Sam was friendly and professional throughout the 6 hour process, communicating with us every step of the way.”
Those are real jobs, not a service guarantee. Late July through August is peak yellowjacket season and the day fills up early. If a nest is active and somebody in the house reacts badly to stings, say so when you call and it moves up the list.
Every town I cover, grouped by how far it is
Alphabetical lists of city names are written for search engines. This one is ordered by drive time from West Linn, because that is the only thing about your address that changes what I can promise you.

What I get called out for, wherever you are
The work does not change much across the metro. What changes is the house. Each of these pages covers one job properly: what it involves, what it costs you in access, and when the honest answer is to leave the nest alone.
Wasp and hornet nests
The bulk of the calls from June onward. Nests under eaves, in soffits, in wall voids and in the ground.
Same-day nest removalHoneybees inside a wall
The big one. Opening the structure, getting comb and colony out together, and closing it so nothing comes back.
How a cutout worksBumblebees in a shed or garage
Often the nest that can simply be left, and I will tell you when it can. When it cannot, they get moved rather than killed.
When a bumblebee nest can stayAnts and spiders
Not the specialism, but the other half of the calendar, and the reason the quarterly plan exists at all.

Common questions
Coverage, travel and how fast I can get there
Do you charge extra to come out to the far side of the metro?
No. The quote covers the job, not the drive. What distance changes is how quickly I can get there, not the price. A nest in Forest Grove costs what the same nest costs in Gladstone.
Can you really come out the same day?
Often, and the reviews are the honest record of it rather than my own claim. One customer describes texting at 3:30pm, getting a reply within the hour, and having the paper wasps at their work site dealt with between 6:15 and 7pm. Another messaged at 8:30am, heard back at 8:46, and had me on site by 1pm. Late July and August are the exception, because that is peak yellowjacket season and the day fills up fast.
My property is a rental. Can you deal with my tenant directly?
Yes, that is a normal call. One of the jobs on my Google profile started with a tenant texting her landlord late on a Sunday night about buzzing inside a wall, and I was out the next day. Tell me who is on site and who is paying and I will work around it.
Do you work on commercial buildings, or only houses?
Both. Wasps do not check the zoning. I have done work sites, apartment buildings and commercial gates as well as houses, and I can come outside normal hours when a business cannot have me working through the middle of its day.
I'm just outside the list. Will you still come?
Ask me. The list is the area I cover routinely, not a fence. If you are a little past the edge of it, call or text (206) 817-7782 and I will tell you straight away whether I can get to you, and that answer costs you nothing either way.
Why is the annual plan only offered in three cities?
Because it is a fixed quarterly route and one person has to actually drive it. West Linn, Lake Oswego, Oregon City are close enough to my base in West Linn, OR that I can commit to coming back four times a year. One-off call-outs cover the whole metro.
